COLONEL JOHN M. BREAZEALE

Colonel John M. Breazeale is the Commander of the 301st Fighter Wing, Air Force Reserve Command, Naval Air Station Fort Worth Joint Reserve Base, Texas. He is responsible for providing a combat-ready force comprised of approximately 2,280 Reserve, active duty, and civilian Airmen, and resources to support national objectives. The wing leverages both Classic and Active associations at two locations to employ the F-16C, F-22, and T-38 aircraft.

Colonel Breazeale was commissioned in the United States Air Force in 1988 following graduation as a distinguished graduate from the USAF Academy where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering. He began his Air Force career in June 1988 as a pilot training student at Sheppard Air Force Base, Texas. He transitioned to the Air Force Reserve in May 2002. In September 2007, he was assigned to Eglin AFB, Fla., where he established and commanded the 84th Test and Evaluation Squadron. Prior to his current assignment, he was commander of the 917th Fighter Group, Barksdale AFB, La.

Colonel Breazeale is a command pilot with more than 4,000 flying hours in the F-16 Fighting Falcon and A-10 Thunderbolt II.
