301 FW loses a family member

A U.S. Air Force Airman assigned to the 301st Fighter Wing Logistics Readiness Squadron was struck by gunfire at an off-base business location in Dallas, Texas on Sunday, October 18, 2020 and succumbed to injuries at a local hospital. The deceased has been confirmed as Senior Airman Nicholas Nathaniel Slaughter. The cause of death has been ruled a homicide and is under further investigation. The Dallas Police Department is actively handling the investigation and will release any additional information as it becomes available.
