Maintenance Professional of the Year

The 301st Fighter Wing Maintenance Group (MXG) holds an annual Maintenance Professional of the Year (MPOY) ceremony March 2, 2019 at Naval Air Station Fort Worth Joint Reserve Base, Texas. The MPOY is an event that allows the hard working MXG Airmen the opportunity to celebrate their outstanding accomplishments from the previous year.

World War II veteran and prisoner of war survivor, Mr. Fiske Hanley II visits 301st Fighter Wing leadership along with several honorary commanders and attends the Maintenance Professional of the Year (MPOY) ceremony March 2, 2019 at Naval Air Station Fort Worth Joint Reserve Base, Texas. Hanley’s plane was shot down over Japan in early 1945, and he was taken prisoner by the Kempei Tai Military Police.

Prisoner of war survivors Mr. Fiske Hanley II, World War II veteran, and Marine Corps Staff Sgt. (ret.) Rodney “Rocky” Sickmann, share similar stories at the Maintenance Professional of the Year (MPOY) ceremony March 2, 2019 at Naval Air Station Fort Worth Joint Reserve Base, Texas. Sickmann was one of 52 Americans held hostage in Iran for 444 days.
