The 301st Fighter Wing public affairs office was announced as the Air Force Reserve Command’s winner for the 2021 Air Force Association Aerospace Gill Robb Wilson Award on January 27, 2021.

“Congratulations to our PA team,” said 301st Fighter Wing Commander Col. Allen Duckworth. “This is a well-deserved award and I'm very thankful for how they representing our wing so well.”

The Air Force Association is an independent, nonprofit, civilian education organization that promotes understanding of aerospace power and the pivotal role it plays in the security of this nation. This award program recognizes the most outstanding contribution to national defense in the fields of science and engineering relating to aerospace activity; flight in the atmosphere or space; arts and letters, covering a wide range of activities including writing, speaking, media relations, sculpting or painting; and for significantly exceeding standard performance.

“Our mission is to tell the Air Force Reserve Citizen Airmen story because we have some amazingly resilient people who choose to serve this wing and this mission simply doesn’t happen without them. We aim to educate, inspire and connect our audiences through various mediums such as video production, graphic illustrations, strategic social media engagements, community and media relations, photo documentation and written stories,” said Jeremy Roman 301 FW PA operations chief. “It’s a dynamic and challenging mission set which constantly evolves and expands almost every day. Recognition is not the motivation behind our jobs, however, it does feel nice to know your team is doing a good job and we do not win this award without the leadership and effort from our 301 FW PA Director Capt. Jessica Gross.”
