Some jets depart for boneyard
A few of the older model F-16s were recently flown to the "boneyard" leaving a feeling of emptiness on the ramp. Honoring our nation's heros
Col (ret) Bernard Talley, Jr., a Vietnam Prisoner of War from 1966-1973 and retired American Airlines pilot, spoke at the POW/MIA Recognition Day ceremony at the AA Flight Academy this month. Col Talley spent 2,369 days in captivity before he was released during Operation Homecoming on March 4, 1973. The ceremony celebrated the remembrance of this nation's POW/MIAs. During the closing ceremonies at Las Collinas Country Country Club Golf Course, President Bush presented the Champion's Cup to Corporal Chad Pfeifer and the Warrior Cup to Staff Sargeant Benjamin Dellinger and Captain Matthew Anderson ending the 2013 Warrior Open and just before it poured rain.
