Col. Gloria N. Field is the Commander of the 301st Mission Support Group. She leads more than 780 military and civilian Airmen across 20 diverse Air Force Specialty Codes including anti-terrorism, civil engineering, force support, security operations, communication, logistics, aerial port operations, contracting, bioenvironmental and public health. Col. Field ensures programs, plans and policies for 26 assigned F-16 aircraft, ensuring fully mission capable forces and equipment to combatant commanders. She also administers support for 2,200 combat-ready Airmen comprised of 10th Air Force, 301st Fighter Wing, 355th Fighter Squadron (total force integration), 44th Fighter Group and 822d Civil Engineering Flight.
Col. Field was commissioned in the U.S. Air Force following graduation from the U.S. Air Force Academy in June 1999. She began her career as a combat readiness flight commander at Cannon Air Force Base, N.M. Since her first assignment, Col. Field served in many logistics areas to include: supply, fuels, logistics plans, maintenance, and both air and surface transportation. She deployed in 2006 in support of Operation ENDURING FREEDOM where she served in Central Command Deployment and Distribution Operation Center’s Air Cell and as an Aide-de-Camp to the Director. After spending 10 years on active duty, Col. Field joined the Air Force Reserve in 2009.
Prior to her current assignment, Col. Field was the Individual Mobilization Officer to the Director of Logistics, Air Force Sustainment Center, Tinker AFB, Okla.
