Colonel John M. Nemecek

Col. John M. Nemecek is the Commander of the 301st Maintenance Group, Naval Air Station Joint Reserve Base Fort Worth, Texas. He is responsible for planning, directing, monitoring, and safe execution of all combat-oriented F-16C flight training within the 301st Fighter Wing. He directs the group’s execution of a 5,800+ Annual Flying Hour Program and a $3.5 million annual operations group budget.

Col. Nemecek earned his commission at the U.S. Air Force Academy in 1995. After 17 wears of active duty service, he entered the Air Force Reserve in 2008 and became the Quality Assurance Officer in Charge for the 301st Maintenance Group, NAS JRB Fort Worth, Texas. Col. Nemecek deployed in support of Operation SOUTHERN WATCH and has extensive experience in providing fifth-generation aircraft support where he helped both Tyndall Air Force Base, Fla. and Langley AFB, Va., stand-up the F-22 Raptor. He will be play an integral role in helping the 301st FW transition from the F-16 Fighting Falcon to Air Force Reserve Command’s first ever F-35A Lightning II unit.

Prior to his current position, Col. Nemecek served as the Individual Mobilization Augmentee Deputy Director S4 Space Operations Command, U.S. Space Force, Peterson Space Force Base, Colo.
