In Memory of Mr Donald C Hanna

Donald C. Hanna, 65, passed away Friday, July 11, 2008, in Fort Worth. 

The funeral was held Tuesday, July 15 at Greenwood Garden Chapel. Don's final resting place is at the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery. 

Donald C. Hanna was born March 5, 1943, in Rockville Center, N.Y., to Charles and Cornelia Hanna. He joined the United States Air Force as a trumpet player. After active duty, Don became a firefighter and an Emergency Medical Technician. 

He joined the Air Force Reserve and retired as a master sergeant with his combined active duty and reserve time totaling 24 years of service. 

He entered the civil service as a transportation specialist for the 301st Fighter Wing in the Logistics Readiness Squadron working at the Naval Air Station Fort Worth Joint Reserve Base Carswell Field, Texas. Don had a deep respect for the military and his military family. 

"Don was one of the most professional military man I ever had the pleasure of meeting. He taught all of us in the 301st about deployments; he always had the right answer when it came to uploading and downloading equipment on military aircraft. Don is a fine gentleman and American patriot."
