In Memoriam: Staff Sgt. Duncan “Alex” Shurtleff

U.S. Air Force Staff Sgt. Duncan “Alex” Shurtleff, a 301st Aircraft Maintenance Squadron Electrician, was found deceased at his off-base residence on Sunday, Sept. 15, 2019.

Alex will be remembered for his happy, friendly disposition, and for welcoming new members to the unit. He ensured maintainers knew how to do their job and took care of them. We lost a valued member of the wing. His loss is deeply felt by his friends, co-workers, and throughout the wing.

Please remember to take care of yourselves and fellow Airmen during this difficult time. We are better equipped to help each other if we understand the importance of taking care of ourselves mentally, physically, socially, and spiritually.
