Update: Aircraft incident at Nellis Air Force Base

Two F-16s assigned to the 301st Fighter Wing, Naval Air Station Fort Worth Joint Reserve Base, Texas, collided shortly after landing at Nellis Air Force Base following a local sortie Aug. 15.

One pilot remains hospitalized as a result of injuries sustained during the collision.

Airmen from the 301st FW are temporarily assigned here while participating in Red Flag 15-4.

A safety board will convene to investigate the incident. More information will be provided as it becomes available.
