Proud to have been your 'Wingman'

Fort Worth, TEXAS -- Ladies and gentlemen of the 301st Fighter Wing, I will be leaving as your commander on April 5 to assume duties as Commander, Air Reserve Personnel Center in Denver, Colo. Being a member of your team has been the highlight of my career. Never in my life have I seen a group of people who love their country more or who show such devotion to duty. Never before have I been so motivated to do all in my capacity to give back to you for your patriotism and generosity with your time.

The 301st Fighter Wing members have done a remarkable job in training, equipping, and deploying our Airmen to support the Global War on Terror. You have set the bar extremely high and you should be proud of your accomplishments! I would also like to add that the 301st Fighter Wing has outperformed most other wings in volunteerism deployments, retention, medical readiness, PME, civilian education, and of course my favorite ... FITNESS!

Needless to say I will miss all of you. I appreciate you allowing me to be your "Wingman" and to serve by your side.

Sincerely,

Colonel Kevin Pottinger
Commander 301 FW
