Jumping deep into extraction training
Pilots from the 457th Fighter Squadron, 301st Fighter Wing at Naval Air Station Fort Worth Joint Reserve Base, Texas, are given a safety briefing by SMSgt Michael Flake, a member of the 305th Rescue Squadron, Davis-Monthan Air Force Base, Ariz., prior to being taken to the extraction point on Lake Worth July 11. There they will simulate being rescued by members of the 305th and 306th Rescue Squadron. This training is the first time they will experience rescue via an actual HH-60 "Pavehawk."
