Alan Burks, Unsung Heroes founder, and Air Force Reservist Tech. Sgt. Julie Briden-Garcia, 301st Fighter Wing Public Affairs NCOIC, help load the first box on to the aircraft bound for Iraq. American Airlines, Operation Iraqi Children, Armed Forces Entertainment and the Unsung Heroes Fund have joined forces to send over 20 tons of school supplies, Croc shoes and soccer balls for the Iraqi children, in addition to entertainers, snacks and other supplies for U.S. servicemembers.
