Going above and beyone
Army Sgt. Elias Reyes (left center) shakes hands with Chief Warrant Officer 4 Gary Linfoot after receiving new iBOT chairs at this year's Skyball VI at Alliance Airport's American Airlines maintainance hangar in Fort Worth, Texas. Through donations from the 501(c)3 nonprofit corporation Huey 091 Foundation's Patriot Fund and through the generous donation from Mr. John Dean, the iBOT Mobility System's all-in-one combination of functions gave these wounded veterans the ability to do what would have once been considered impossible achievements. Each chair cost around $25,000. Skyball is an annual event that its sole purpose is to raise funds to benefit the families of area service men and women. American Airlines and American Eagle partnered with the Fort Worth Airpower Foundation on Sky Ball VI to pursue one more way to honor the heroism of brave men, women and their families. Last year's event raised more than $600,000 for the Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps and National Guard Relief Fund, as well as other needs for families at the Naval Air Station Joint Reserve Base in Fort Worth.
