The Air Force Association announced the 2008 Pitsenbarger Award winner recently. Master Sgt. Ross Wood, AFA Fort Worth Chapter 272 president, presented the grant during the June UTA to Staff Sgt. Sara Schiel, 457th Fighter Squadron. This award provides a one-time grant of $500 to selected top Air Force enlisted personnel graduating from the Community College of the Air Force who plan on pursuing a baccalaureate degree. The 301st Fighter Wing was granted one AFA Pitsenbarger Award for their CCAF April 2008 graduating class based on a total the 20 CCAF graduates.
