Newest Power & Vigilance trophy winner named
Colonel Donald Lindberg, 10th Air Force vice commander, members of the 419th Fighter Wing and Airpower Foundation chairman, Roman Palomares, pose with the Power and Vigilance trophy. The 419th Fighter Wing at Hill Air Force Base, Utah, was recently proclaimed the premier unit within 10th Air Force, winning trophy bragging rights for the year. The Power and Vigilance Award is presented annually to the 10 AF Reserve unit that exhibits the NAF mission as "the premier provider of affordable, integrated, flexible, and mission-ready Citizen Airmen to execute power and vigilance missions in support of U.S. National Security.” The symbolism of the bronze figure on the award says it all, ‘grabbing the bull by the horns’. They are only the fifth unit to hold this honor. (U.S. Air Force photo/Master Sgt. Julie Briden-Garcia)
