Reservist nominates boss for Freedom Award
NAVAL AIR STATION FORT WORTH JOINT RESERVE BASE, Texas – Staff Sgt. Luke Hatton, a 301st Aircraft Maintenance Squadron electrician, and Billy Payne, an employer with Fort Worth and Western Railroad as well as Hatton’s civilian supervisor, smile for a photo with Maj. Gen. Richard Scobee, 10th Air Force commander, at a breakfast banquet here June 24 honoring employers. Payne was one of 35 supervisors the Texas Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR) recognized for their 2015 Secretary of Defense Employer Support Freedom Award nominations. This award is the highest recognition given by the U.S. Government to employers for their support of their employees who serve in the Guard and Reserve.
