301 FW vice commander departs, leaves lasting impact

Col. Korey ”Axe” Amundson, 301st Fighter Wing vice commander, hosted a farewell event and prepared for his departure at Naval Air Station Joint Reserve Base Fort Worth, Texas on February 5, 2022. Col. Amundson is a command pilot with more than 2,500 hours in the F-16. He has amassed 100 combat hours in support of Operations SOUTHERN WATCH and IRAQI FREEDOM and a temporary duty in Poland helping stand up the country’s first combat deployable F-16 squadron. In his civilian capacity, Col. Amundson is a commercial airline pilot.
