Eight Fort Worth Airpower Council members, the nation's oldest military support organization started by General Curtis LeMay in 1958, attended an F-35A update April 27, 2018, at the 301st Fighter Wing located on Naval Air Station Fort Worth Joint Reserve Base, Texas, which included an Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) briefing and infrastructure facilities requirement. This meeting gave Fort Worth civic leaders insight into what the fifth generation aircraft process entails if the wing is chosen to be the first Air Force Reserve Command F-35A unit.
