    301 FW invites civic leaders to serve

    The 301st Fighter Wing inducted 17 honorary commanders during its 2020 Honorary Commander Induction Ceremony, July 31. This induction ceremony welcomed its third class of honorary commanders since the program’s inception in 2016. During their two-year term, they will be invited to various events in order to support Airmen and see how the Guard, Reserve, Active Duty and civilian components operate to accomplish total force integration.

    24th Fighter Squadron welcomes new commander

    Maj. Ryan “Rojo” Busbey was welcomed as the new 24th Fighter Squadron commander, June 26, 2020 at U.S. Naval Air Station Joint Reserve Base Fort Worth, Texas. The 24 FS is an active associate of the 301st Fighter Wing. Col. Joshua Padgett, the 301 FW Operations Group commander, was the presiding official. The ceremony attendance was limited due to social distancing and health precautions.

    The 301st Fighter Wing would like to announce its new command chief and prepare for his arrival later this summer.
  • If you are going swimming, and are not a skilled swimmer, have the proper gear and always bring a buddy. It is best to not drink alcohol while swimming, as it impairs your cognitive and reactive skills. Also, it doesn’t hurt to know basic Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) procedures. You could help save a life by knowing what to do and by keeping an eye out for everyone around you. You may see something that others don’t.
