Newest Power & Vigilance trophy winner named
Col. Bryan Radliff, 419th Fighter Wing commander, takes a moment to express his thanks to 10th Air Force in naming the 419 FW, Hill Air Force Base, Utah, as this year’s Power and Vigilance trophy recipient. This is only the fifth year this trophy has found a home. The first four winners being the 477th Fighter Group, Elmendorf, Alaska, 482nd Fighter Wing, Homestead ARB, Fla., 301st Fighter Wing, NAS Fort Worth JRB, Texas, and the 442nd Fighter Wing, Whiteman AFB, Missouri. The Power and Vigilance Award is presented annually to the 10 AF Reserve unit that exhibits the NAF mission as "the premier provider of affordable, integrated, flexible, and mission-ready Citizen Airmen to execute power and vigilance missions in support of U.S. National Security.” The symbolism of the bronze figure on the award says it all, ‘grabbing the bull by the horns’.
